How To Keep An Eye On Your Eye Sight

Your eye sight is important. There are many preventative measures that you can do to take care of your eyes. Eye maintenance isn’t something most people think of on a day to day basis. The key to keeping your eyes in good health is to keep a careful watch on them with your optometrist so you can track any changes.

The most important thing to do is to see an optometrist regularly. Even if you have good eye sight, you should see an optometrist once a year to keep track of any changes in your vision. Keep watch on any changes in your eye sight, such as blurriness or any dots or spots seen. All of these can be signs of other eye issues, so if you experience them, get to an optometrist right away.

Prevention and Your Eye Sight

Healthy eye sight is all about prevention. With professional medical help, you may be able to reverse or stagnant any eye troubles.

Take the right measures to prevent UV rays from affecting your eye sight. Even on cloudy days, you should wear protective sunglasses that filter out blue rays from the sun.

As with SPF, people often think that an overcast day means you aren’t getting any sun at all so you’re safe from the rays. On the contrary, UV rays can filter through clouds. Sunglasses that are UV safe usually have brown or amber-colored lenses. Check the tags when buying sunglasses, as most who provide UV shield will state this on the tags or packaging.
