Ways to Improve Your Eyesight
Having good eyesight is something that everyone wants, but not everyone has. As a child, we are told not to read in the dark and to eat our vegetables to get healthy eyes. As adults, eyesight tends to diminish, especially with all of the bad habits that we pick up over the years. Improving your lifestyle to have better habits for your eyes is important. Here are a couple of ways you can improve your eyesight.

Eat Fruits and Vegetables

If you can eat them raw, then it is recommended. Raw fruits and vegetables have the most potent nutrients, so consider making them into a smoothie or steam the veggies and eat them that way. You’ll want to eat fruits and veggies that are rich in Vitamin A, C and E to get healthier eyes. You should eat dark green leafy veggies and fruits that are yellow and orange.

Drink Lots of Water

Keeping toxins flushed out of your system is another way to improve your eyesight. It’s recommended that you drink at least eight glasses of water per day. If you can drink a gallon per day, then even better. A lot of people drink too much soda, coffee and juice and are dehydrating their bodies.

Get Lots of Sleep

Getting enough hours of sleep and resting your eyes throughout the day is important for having healthy eyes. If you stare at a computer or other digital screens throughout the day, then make sure to give them a rest every 15 minutes. You can close them for a while or just focus on something else in the room for a few minutes.

If you have a condition that is keeping you from bettering your eyesight, then you can use laser eye surgery like Lasik to help correct your vision. This can be used for people who have nearsightedness, farsightedness and astigmatism.
